Our Osteopaths use hands-on techniques for low back pain treatment – but that’s not all.
Exercise rehabilitation, movement training, pain education, postural corrections and more are all used so you can understand your pain better than anyone else.
One of the most common reasons people see an Osteopath is for treatment of lower back pain, and we love being able to help you recover quickly.
During your first consultation your Osteopath will assess and diagnose the pain the lower back, then provide a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise rehabilitation and management advice tailored to you.
If you’ve tweaked, twinged or pinched something, we can help!
Let’s get your back moving again!

Low back pain – what can be done about it?
Are you fed up with a sore back? Are you sick of having the same treatment over and over again without results? Are you looking for something more than just medications and coping?
The Osteopaths at Chadstone Region Osteopathy are here to help – we spend the time to get a thorough detailed history of your back pain, discuss and decide with you the best plan of approach, then provide hands-on treatment, as well as teaching you strategies to keep things feeling better. To do all this we have long consultation times, which means you don’t get rushed when telling your story, then pushed out the door.
Osteopaths treat using a combination of massage, stretching, joint mobilisation, manipulation, and exercise rehabilitation. Our Osteopaths have also completed additional training into trigger point dry needling, and chronic low back pain treatment/ education.
All treatments are tailored to your individual needs, and can be incredibly gentle and relaxing, through to very firm depending on your requirements.
Lower back pain is extremely common
We all get back pain from time to time. Sometimes it’s mild and short-lived, other times it’s severe, debilitating and prolonged.
Our role as Osteopaths is to identify your back pain causes, and figure out the best way to relieve it for you as quickly as possible!
We commonly treat back pain originating from disc injuries (like herniated disk), sprains and strains, postural or occupational strains, repetitive strains, bending or lifting strains etc.
So if you’re not moving the way you’d like to, let us help restore your mobility, reduce your back pain and get you back to pain-free, care-free effortless movement.
I’ve had back pain for ages – “nothing seems to fix it!”
This is where the fresh approach of Chadstone Region Osteopathy can help.
We use evidence based interventions and a structured approach tailored specifically to you and your specific back pain- we identify what you can and can’t do, as well as discuss where you would like to get to. Then we show you the pathway, and work with you to help you get there as quickly as possible.
We all need help sometimes. Our Osteopaths can provide symptomatic relief of your back pain with their hands, guide you through the rehabilitation process and ensure that you end up being able to do all the things you want to be doing.
And if we can’t, we’ll make sure we provide referrals to our team of other allied health practitioners, GP’s and specialists that we work closely with!
